RE: Funniest Moment in TV History
I liked some of the ones you had listed, but nobody listed my all-time favorite (maybe nobody is as OLD as me! So they don't remember).
One of the funniest people alive was Terry-Thomas, the British actor. You have to like that kind of Monty Python/John Cleese/Fawlty Towers humor - Terry-Thomas was along the same lines. For the life of me I can't remember what the TV serial was called, but the episode that stays with me was called "The Picnic". Terry's character discreetly goes behind the bushes to relieve himself during a hoity-toity picnic with (his boss?) uppity friends.

Just as he lets go, a park worker starts up a hose to water the hedge. Watching from the vantage point of the picnickers, all you can see is Terry's head above the bushes and this stream coming from the hose. It's absolutely hysterical watching these prim and proper group trying to pretend they aren't noticing, but every once in a while when the maintenance men makes a big arc or figure 8 with the hose stream, the looks on their faces is beyond description.
This was back in the 60's, so if anybody else remembers it, please let me know WHAT it was so that I can see if it's been preserved on video. Thanks
