Shot in 1941, "Babes On Broadway" had Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland performing during the 'minstrel show' subplot with Rooney in blackface. Note the chorus behind them also in blackface. Today the blackface scene has put the entire Academy Award nominated film in an uncomfortable light.
